Her Evil Ranking[]
Her Villainous Deeds[]
- While Roxy is brainwashed during the time of Security Breach, It's revealed in Help Wanted 2 and Ruin that she possesses moral agency when not brainwashed (with the Virus/Glitchtrap only rising her flaws to a MAX level), given how she still wants to kill Gregory out of spite for destroying her and realizing that hurting the Fazbear Technician and almost killing Cassie was bad. She's also shown to be capable of doing good, as seen where she willingly sacrificed herself to save Cassie from the Mimic.
- After she was hacked into serving Glitchtrap, she tries to kill Gregory while emotionally and arrogantly abusing and taunting him even though he is a child, which eventually lead to her fate of being destroyed by him and having her eyes stolen for Freddy.
- In the Canon Ending, Roxy, along with Chica and Monty, try to kill Gregory one last time in Fazer Blast while crying over her body being destroyed.
- After the events of the main game, she gains a murderous hatred of Gregory for stealing her eyes and wants to kill him for it, with the addition of her still acting hostile and being ordered around by M.X.E.S.
- In the Roxy Repair level of Help Wanted 2, she attacks and kills the player if they look away from her for too long. While the part with Roxy's Glamrock version is presumably a simulation, the level with her Shattered self took place in reality.
- She'll try to kill Cassie under the assumption that she's Gregory or by M.X.E.S.'s commands by alerting her to Cassie's location, although she does stop after ultimately realizing her mistake after hearing her voice and realize who she was hunting all along.
- Although the M.X.E.S. is ordering her to unknowingly kill Cassie so the Mimic does not escape, she's not doing this out of justice but more out of bloodlust and vengeance, and the fact that she was unaware of who she was hunting.
- While she does have some comedic moments like complimenting herself in the mirror in the beginning of SB and having over the top lines, she is still taken very seriously in-universe, especially after Gregory destroyed her.
Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]
- Just like the others, she's a bog-standard "kill the hero" villain.
- She's very tragic, as she was only brainwashed/hacked into being evil and got undeserved brutal karma by Gregory by being destroyed and having her eyes stolen. She also has genuine insecurities about not being good enough for the audience and seen as a "loser". While it doesn’t justify wanting to kill Gregory, her despair about being heavily damaged and losing her eyes is played for sympathy, with Freddy and Cassie both feeling bad for her. In Ruin, during her faux-death, she's played for complete sympathy with Cassie crying afterwards.
- By extension, this makes her a scapegoat as she's too sympathetic to deserve what happened to her.
- She does show cares or respect for several people:
- Excluding Gregory entirely, she does generally care for children; She claims in her minigame in Help Wanted 2 that her beauty salon was made to make them look beautiful, presentable, and socially acceptable, while forming a heart shape with her hands, meaning she has a compassion of making them look good in public, as proven with Cassie in the AR cutouts of Ruin. Additionally, Freddy states to Gregory in Parts and Service that she and the others would never hurt a child on their own volition originally, as doing so would go against their programming. This is emphasized in VIP, where she congratulates Devon if he gets first place in Roxy Raceway and gives him her autograph, and also wishes him luck finding his brother.
- She has a genuinely caring admiration for Cassie (due to her having a connection to her birthday in the past) and her attempting to kill her beforehand was clearly accidental due to her mistaking her for Gregory because of her blindness. When they reunite later, she is happy to greet the child and reminisces her birthday party. It's worth knowing that Roxy never attempts to abuse her in any way (unlike Gregory), which shows that her relationship with Cassie is presented as purely genuine.
- She keeps a bowling ball in her Green Room, showing she did truly care for Glamrock Bonnie and mourns his death.
- She has a Pet the Dog moment where she outright warns the HW2 protagonist about her anger issues and tells them how to use the Roxy-Talky to calm her down, showing she doesn't want them hurt. Ultimately, after being given the mask, she lets the protagonist go despite still being unhappy.
- She ultimately redeems herself at the end of Ruin to save Cassie's life, putting her own life in danger to stop the Mimic.
Trivia[]
- In some unused dialogue, Freddy was supposed to plead with Roxy, Chica, and Monty to resist Vanny's control but they ultimately rejected the offer and brutally shattered him to bits and then brainwashed him with the Glitchtrap virus. Had this been kept in the final game, Roxy would've been even worse and could have qualified as Inconsistently Heinous.
